Zdenek has been a freelancer since 2012, engaging with both public and private sectors in the areas of cloud compliance, electronic identity, and cyber security.

Prior to that, Zdenek spent 19 years in various roles with Microsoft, the last role being Worldwide Industry Solutions Director within the Corporate HQ Public Sector team. He was responsible for developing the solution selling strategy, partner relations, and engagements with large opportunities in the area of government workplace modernization worldwide. Since 2006, Zdenek was responsible for Government engagement programs in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). Prior to that, he was Public Sector Director of Microsoft Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) based in Munich, Germany, where he led a regional team responsible for government and education sales and marketing in the CEE region. Between 1999 and 2001 he was appointed a Regional Business Development Manager to Brussels where he worked closely with EU and NATO project teams on various eGovernment, EU enlargement and military ICT projects in Europe. Zdenek graduated with a Computer Science degree at the Technical University of Brno, Czech Republic.
